This pocket watch was manufactured by Aurora Watch Co., c. 1885.  It is 18 size with 15 jewels and is SN #52443.  It has a Silveroid case with a gold inlay of a horseman on the back.  It has a white dial with Roman numerals.  The case and dial are in good condition.  It is marked Silveroid; 368539.  The movement is marked Aurora Watch Co.; Aurora, Ill.; No. 52443; 15 Jewels; Patent Pinion; Adjusted.

NOTE:  The Horseman on the rear cover is finely engraved in gold - beautiful work.  Also of note is that Aurora started making fine watches in 1883 and sold out to Hamilton in 1892.  This watch has a fine Silveroid case and an adjusted Hurd regulator.  Very rare.  All original.

This is a beautiful watch from my personal collection of over 40 years.  It is running and keeping time; would make a great addition to any collection.
