This is a gorgeous pair of antique French wooden bookends dating from the 19th Century. They are full of shabby chic charm and would be the perfect accessory in a vintage home.
They are painted in a sublime shade of green. The paint has distressed and patinated to perfection over the years. The fascia of each bookend is beautifully hand painted with a floral vignette. The vignette has a champagne background and a lovely scrolled and curled border. The flowers are in vibrant shades of pink & turquoise.
The bookends are in sturdy condition. There is a small hole on the very edge of one of them (please see photos). This could be an old worm hole, but if it is, the worm has long gone, there is no evidence of dust.
Each bookend measures :- 16.25 cm (6.4 inches) high x 12 cm (4.72 inches) wide x 13 cm (5.11 inches) deep.

Returns
Returns are accepted within 14 days.
The buyer pays for tracked shipping.

any item you return must be well packed
and received in exactly the same condition as sent.
Once we have received the returned item
and have verified its condition, we will issue the refund .
UK Customers please note:
Due to new rules since BREXIT, V.A.T. is payable
on items sent from an E.U. country.
As our items are sent from France, eBay will collect the tax
due on orders priced up to £135 (not including delivery) at point of sale.
However, where an order is over £135 the tax is collected
by the courier (normally Parcelforce) from the buyer prior to delivery.

Any costs that we incur in order to retrieve a returned
