I’ve seen what seems like the same case elsewhere described as Edwardian Era “Russian Karelian Beechwood Burl” with the hinge mechanism as a Peter Carl Faberge design

Generally presents well with surface wear as shown
Small marks to top and bottom which seem like paint, I’ve made no attempt to remove these Slight creak when opening closing (see video)
