Simply Amazing Vintage Original 1970s Dazzling Disco-Era Black Polyester Crepe Maxi Dress with three-colour Sequin Bodice (Black Silver and Pewter Grey) and dramatic long, bias-cut very full skirt, measuring over 25 feet in length around hem! - which hangs/drapes beautifully due to it's weight.  Fully sequined shoulder straps.  Full acetate lining, including sequined bodice area ie no sequin scratches to delicate skin...!  Zip closure with hook and eye at top. 

A real head turner - which looks incredible in motion.  Sadly, the poor light for photography at this time of year just doesn't do justice to this amazing dress.

No label but was custom-made for a Ballet Dancer, who loved clubbing in the 1970s.

Measurements: 

Bust: rather difficult to measure accurately but would fit a 32" bust nicely

Width where sequined bodice joins skirt: 24.5" - this is the actual measurement - please room for ease and your comfort...

Skirt length (measured where skirt falls from under sequined bodice: 45.75"

Shoulder to hem length: 62"

Width at hem ie TOTAL circumference: over 25 feet!

Strap measurement totals 34.cms - distributed as 10.5cms at front to shoulder and 23.5cms at back to shoulder (please see photos 10, 11 and 12 for detail).  Photo 10 shows pen pointing to exactly the bottom of V neck to give indication of how low cut this garment is.  Photo 9 has a piece of white paper inserted to highlight the neckline more clearly.

Please note: this dress is too small for my mannequin hence photos shown on mannequin do not do this beautiful dress justice - they are included merely to show details etc.  With thanks.

Condition: Outstanding dress in great vintage condition - however needs original metal zip replaced since although it works, the stitching is loose in several places and the zip runner is missing.  Overall condition, extremely good - one small pull on hem (probably a heel stabbing wound!).  A real head turner of a dress.
