Striking mantel clock for restoration or parts. Height is 290mm, width at the base is 278mm, and depth at the base is 138mm. Complete with pendulum, gong and key. There do not appear to be any markings to identify the maker.

I haven’t removed the movement to examine it for defects. The mainsprings on the both the time side and the strike side are intact. The clock will tick away and will strike on the hour and half hour, but the strike is not synchronised with the time so some attention is required.

The case appears to be oak/oak veneer. It is missing the twisted decorative moulding on one side, and there is a paler patch on the surface at the crown of the arched top. There appears to be a filled hole on one side, and the back door is missing a small part at the top corner. These defects can be seen in the photos.

I bought this clock some years ago as a restoration project but I have too many projects to be getting on with so I’m selling it on for someone else to enjoy the restoration.
