"F.X. McRory's Whiskey Bar" is probably the most popular piece in the celebrated "American Bars" suite by popular painter LeRoy Neiman(1921- 2012).  (There's a long and convoluted story behind its genesis involving artistic angst and an ingot of gold left behind from 1973's "Great Grain Robbery" that sounds like a tale one might hear in a bar like McRory's.)  So popular was this painting that at least two (and perhaps as many as four) different series of prints were produced.  This one appears to be the final iteration.

The work at hand is a 36 x 18 inch lithograph on 37 3/4 x 22 1/4 inch acid-free lightly textured paper stock.  It's signed in the plate and also on the margin.  (Although Neiman hand-signed some McRory's prints, this isn't one of them.)  The work is in very good condition. The stock shows no age and the colors remain vibrant with the strange exception of the yellow ink which seems to have faded somewhat.
