The Rickenbacker Light Show guitar has always been a mystery for many 70’s Rock Music Fans who watched the psychedelic scene of the late 60’s thru the mid-70’s. These Light Show guitars & basses have always been somewhat scarce as many were lost of modified over the years. This is a fantastic example just acquired by us & we are thrilled to be offering it up for your consideration as we would normally keep things this crazy cool permanently in our shop. Its ultra rare having less than a few hundred examples made from 1970 thru 1972 albeit in the catalog thru 1975, most having the standard dark Burganglo finish also available in Jetglo & Mapleglo. Probable the rarest color for any 331LS is this light see-thru Cherry Red finish showing off its clean maple construction all over. Its 2 “Hi-Gain” pickups are powerful w/its intricate 60’s “Ching-Chang” or Rock tones like no other. This is the so-called 2nd series light show having the better designed PC board circuitry that works far better w/out over heating when used. She’s sporting her original translucent pickgards showing off its frequency modulated bulbs. Its Kluson Deluxe tuners work perfectly. It sports 6 chrome capped Black Vol. & Tone knobs. Its got its original adjustible bridge and cool “R” tailpiece. The serial # of “KJ” designates it to be from October 1971. She’s now equipped w/a new power supply box superior to its original unit. She’s near mint overall & a completely original & uncirculated example. She comes complete w/her original Black Tolex/Blue lined hard case.
