This is a high quality vintage Boyt leather scabbard.  It is made of thick leather, with reinforcing leather on the top and bottom seams, the stitching is good.  The scabbard is fleece lined, and it is in excellent condition, it doesn't look like anything was ever stored in it, maybe it was really never used.  It appears that mounting straps were never put through loops, and the scabbard was never on a horse.  The leather is in very good overall condition, it could use a good application of leather conditioner or glove oil. It is a 36" length, and in the last pic a toy carbine with a 20" barrel is shown for illustration purposes only - Only the scabbard is for sale.
