For sale is an original copy of John Cotton's posthumous work, published in 1654. John Cotton was a well known clergyman in Boston, best known for his book 'Spiritual Milk for Boston Babes' due to it being considered the first published book for Children in the Americas in 1656. He is also known for being the Grand-father to Cotton Mather. 

The book is bound in its original leather binding, which, due to its age, does have some wear as seen. The end pages and title page are unfortunately missing, but the remaining pages are present. There is some wear and minor staining throughout to the pages, and the last page has a missing corner as shown. Though it is by no means perfect, it is a scarce book of a notable book by a notable clergyman!
