Hand knit hat worked with two strands of 100 percent acrylic yarn

The pattern starts with two strands of light blue yarn for the ribbing and then changes to one strand of navy and one strand of light blue which causes an irregular pattern to appear with some stitches showing navy and some showing blue.  The pattern then continues with two strands of navy to finish with an "elf" point.

The hat is loosely knit so it stretches to fit most heads.
