Made by Noritake in Japan, this beautiful vase with a glossy off-white background has a hand-painted design of roses with stems and leaves all around it, a large gold band at the shoulder, and gold trim at the top rim.
It is about 8 inches tall. The sides taper up from the bottom rim that is about 2-1/2 inches in diameter to the shoulder that is about 4-1/2 inches in diameter. It tapers up again to the neck and flared top rim that is about 2 inches in diameter. Weighing 19 ounces, this vase is perfect for a floral arrangement - or just to display on its own.
The bottom has a printed "half-circle" mark "Noritake Nippon" and was probably made 1904-1921.
It is in very good antique condition - no chips, hairlines, or crazing - and no significant loss of gold that is often seen on gold-trimmed pieces. .
