Vintage Bijan J. Bijan (1936-2016) Wall Mount Low Relief Metal Sculpture of Mixed Singles (so to speak).  This assembly of brass castings, bolts and brazed rods is a diminutive example of Bijan's quest to impose third dimensionality upon bas relief.  The piece probably is one of a line of limited edition sculptures the artist sold through high-end department stores (notably Gump's in San Francisco) in the 60s and 70s.  This particular work looks a lot like Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs in the famous 1973 "Battle of the Sexes" TV extravaganza.

This 13 x 21 inch low relief wall mount sculpture is in good condition.   The "speed line" which mounts the tennis ball may be slightly bent.  What seems to be abrasive wear on the left end of this piece, based on the only other example of this sculpture in the past 10 years, is actually there by the artist's intent.
