This bid is for an early WW2 Vintage British Military Kitbag complete with its original white fastening cord together with its original very rare Brass ‘D’ Clamp. Made from dark blue canvas, it measures around 11½ inches diameter x 28 inches long and has the usual inner storm cover flap at the top. Inside is stamped in white with the makers ‘THOMAS BRIGGS (LONDON) LTD.’ and what looks like ‘MAKERS’ over the year ‘1944’. It retains all the twelve securing brass eyelets which can be closed using the attached cord, or more securely, by the brass ‘D’ clamp whose bar passes through all the twelve eyelets and would be then locked using a small padlock. Looking closely, the ‘D’ clamp has been well used but sadly there are no markings. The only markings on this kitbag are the letters ‘W.S.H.’ painted in white on both sides of the bag and on the bottom ‘W. SELLERS’, again painted in white. NOTE: the original cord will be found inside the bag and the bag is in an excellent condition with no holes or tears. PLEASE NOTE that I will ship WORLDWIDE except to Russia. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. Buyer to pay post & packing, various methods available, please ask. For UK payments I accept standard issued cheques from any UK bank or postal orders and of course PayPal for both domestic and international payments. For International bids please ask for shipping costs before bidding and I will only accept payment by PayPal in GBP. Please see my other bids. Thank you for looking.
