A nice commemorative miniature trowel from the Masonic Detroit Lodge No. 2. I am not sure as to the date of this example as there is no indication anywhere on the item. The metallic portion appears to be a brass wash as I can see small spots of an underline metal. The tool measures 6 1/8” long. I can find no significant damage, however, evidently this piece possibly sat in a presentation box as there is a lighter colored stripe on the backside representing a small piece of tape or glue. The area is flat so evidently what was on the back of the item originally has been removed but the markings still exist. I do not know if the metal part can be cleaned, the item is sold as pictured. also the very tip of the trowel at the point is slightly bent, mentioned for accuracy.  Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.

Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.

Thank you.
