Welcome to my Auction for the "The Duke", he's a 1996 Spi mini with 45600 miles on the clock.  The DVLA and the Rover history back this up as well.  There are 2 keys as well.

As I'm sure you can see from the pictures he's been retro-styled with :-


Finished off with a Sapphire Blue paint job and a black roof.

So, how rotten is he?  That's an easy answer.......He isn't!!  During the course of my ownership I've replaced :-

I'm an engineer by trade and the work has been done to a good standard and not just been snotted/bodged together with a gasless mig and an angle grinder.  I can supply photos of the work carried out.  I'm happy for any inspection.

There is also a set of Hi-los and a Stage 1 kit. The Stainless back box sounds nice.

The interior is nice and tidy in black. There is a wood dash, this has some cracks and marks on it..

A new tyre has been fitted and the rest have decent tread.

The engine runs well, I've had the head refubished.

The heater matrix, radiator, water pump and alternator have been done as well.
The clutch seal, slave and clutch have also been replaced

This is in addition to to the usual general service stuff. The vacuum hoses have been replaced by Silicone ones

So what's wrong with him??
Well not a lot really, there is an oil leak from the diff seals.
The paint job could be better, it's not bad but it's not perfect by any means.
The dash has some cracks and marks

 He turned 28 a few days ago so expect a few marks and imperfections.

To sum him up, he's a nice tidy solid car that runs well.  A good usable and fun car, he sounds nice, drives well, and turns heads.
