Here we have a beautiful bone china cup and saucer set. The pattern number 5655 is painted in gold on the bottom of the cup, and the letter B on the saucer. There is no markers mark or identification. I am therefore no wiser as to the origin of the set. I have roughly estimated the date of manufacture to 1979 as this was the date on a similar set I found during my research. They could therefore be older or younger than the date given.
The gold gilt on the cup edge has worn in places but the condition overall is very good. There is no crazing, cracks, chips or repairs noted.
