The coin is pristine and if you have owned the Fiji Cats or Dogs coins you will appreciate the Mirror like finish of this new release.
The reverse of the coin presents POPEYE in an immaculately detailed full colour pose. Popeye stands against a mirror like finish in a full colour presentation of the character. Popeye holds his tin of spinach aloft as he prepares to eat the super powered vegetable. Detailed meticulously in colour from his sailor suit, boots, tin of spinach and the famous sailors anchor tattoo. To the right of the central image the coin and characters name POPEYE is boldly presented. The copyright, trademark circles the edge of the coin with no other script on the reverse to detract from the image presented.
Hopefully this is a first release and the other characters from the Popeye comic strip will appear on future releases.
