Description:  This is a very nice little Band Aid bandage travel dispenser.  It advertises Gulf gas at the service stations on the Pennsylvania (PA) Turnpike.  It reads, "GULF - Pennsylvania Turnpike Stations - A Cut Above The Rest!"  It was probably a give-away item for buying gas or an inexpensive item you could buy at the service station.  It is made of white plastic and measures approximately 3 5/8" by 1 1/8" by 3/8".  This cute dispenser has 6 of its original Band-Aid brand bandages inside (4 "Plastic Strip" and 2 "Sheer").  The dispenser is hinged at one of the long ends and it opens up so you can resupply the bandages.  To dispense a bandage, you push up with your finger through the round hole in the back and there is slot in the top where the bandage comes out.  On the inside of the dispenser, embossed on the top, it reads, "Refill with 3/4 Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages".  Not only could you still use this when you travel, but it is a great example of Petroliana advertising.  It would make a great addition to a gas, oil, service station, Band-Aid, medical, or PA Turnpike collection.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike opened in 1940 and is considered America's first "superhighway".  I'm not sure how old this dispenser is, but if I had to guess, I would say it dates to somewhere in the 1950's to 1970's range.

Condition:  The little dispenser is in pretty nice shape. It shows some very minor signs of wear and has a little bit of staining, mostly on the inside corners.  I did not try to clean it, so you might be able to remove those. PLEASE examine the photos closely for a better determination of condition and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Shipping/Handling:  This will be carefully packaged and shipped inside an envelope via the US Postal Service (USPS) for $1.50.  There are no additional handling, packing or other charges.  If you want/need tracking on this, please contact me before checking out for a revised shipping quote.

Other Stuff:  I'm not a professional seller, I just sell stuff from my personal collection or, items I find along the way that may be of interest to others.  I try to describe and pack my items the way I'd like to see items I'm buying described and packed, while keeping shipping costs as low as possible.  If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks for looking at this item and good luck!  If you are a petroliana collector, please also take a look at the 1979 and 1982 Exxon pocket calendars I have listed.  If you buy more than one item, I will combine shipping to save you some shipping costs.
