Davis, Corps of Engineers, dated February 11, 1895, of a survey made by him in compliance with the provisions of the river and harbor act of August 17, 1894, of mouth of Cranes Creek, Virginia, a tidal estuary of Great Wicomico River. SIR: I have the honor to submit the accompanying copy of report of February 11, 1895, with map, by Maj. Chas. E. L. B. Davis, Corps of Engineers, of the results of a survey of mouth of Cranes Creek, Virginia, a tidal estuary of Great Wicomico River, made to comply with provi- sions of section 12 of the river and harbor act of August 17, 1894.


Major Davis submits plan for improvement by dredging a channel 9 feet deep and 150 feet wide through Bussels Point, substantially where there was 10 feet of water in 1869, which, together with needed rotecting jetties, is estimated to cost $56,040, the dredged material to be deposited so as to close the present mouth.
