This bid is for 3 x genuine WW2 Allied Military Currency Notes issued in Allied Occupied Germany in 1944. The four different notes included in this bid are as follows:-


  1. Allied Military Currency Note – 50 groschenissued in Austria in 1944(serie 1944 in Oesterreich Ausgegeben) - Measuring 114 mm x 58 mm, the condition is good used with just one light vertical fold down the centre.

  2. Allied Military Currency Note – 1 schilling – issued in Austria in 1944 – (serie 1944 in Oesterreich Ausgegeben) - Measuring 114 mm x 58 mm, the condition is very good used with just one light vertical fold down the centre.

  3. Allied Military Currency Note – 2 schillingissued in Austria in 1944(serie 1944 in Oesterreich Ausgegeben) - Measuring 114 mm x 58 mm, the condition is a bit grubby with just one light vertical fold down the centre.


These Allied Currency Notes were all issued in Austria in 1944 and ceased to be legal tender in 1947. Each was printed in the UK by De La Rue or Bradbury Wilkinson & Co. I can confirm that these particular notes were carried by a British soldier during the war and were brought home as souvenirs.
