PLEASE READ FIRST- I recently sold these but the buyer did not read the description or look at all the pictures- after shipping and receiving we had to go through the process of a refund and return- they are still in new good condition as these are current pictures- the buyer did not install them once he picked them up and noticed they won’t “bolt right up” - these are larger than stock rocker boxes - they are larger/ wider as shown in the last few pictures compared to stock size-

These are a larger oversized set of XR 750 or XR 1000 rocker boxes - the last 2 pictures show them next to a stock sized set of XR rocker boxes (THE SMALLER SET IS NOT INCLUDED) only the larger two shown in the first picture- pictures show approximate measurements and are part of the description. If you have e questions ask before placing your bid.

Rare set of XR-750 or XR-1000 rocker boxes out of Robison Harley Davidson race department. These were brought over from Japan for Joe Robison to run on his race bike that had other parts from the same company- that bike was sold after many years of racing and winning lots of races. These were in Joes desk drawer but it does not look like they were ever used as the race bike had OEM Harley Davidson rocker boxes on it. These are very rare and specific rocker boxes and they may or may not bolt right up to XR-750 or XR-1000 heads. I’m not certain but they match the head pattern to the XR heads I have. It’s possible you might need to do a little fabrication to make them work- look at the pictures as they show the condition and are part of the description. Great addition and will definitely make your bike special as they are not available anywhere else that I know of in the US.

If you’re looking to restore or repair your bike and you want to use Harley Davidson OEM original parts, give us a follow as we are listing items daily. I list my items using the OEM part number, if you want to check our inventory type in (Harley-Davidson-then the part number)

This is leftover inventory from Robison Harley-Davidson, the Harley Davidson dealer in Daytona Beach from 1962 till 1993. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH FOR FITMENT AND READ THE DESCRIPTION CLOSELY- if you need help with Fitment message me first, can save a lot of mistakes and wasted time this way.

“Evo Sportster crankcases, (1986 -1990), have the cams offset about 1/2" further to the right than the earlier iron Sportster cases as well as the XR750 cases. This design change provided for larger bore possibilities for the Evo engines. So, if you wanted to make a 'big bore' XR, one way is to build with the Evo cases as there is much more material to utilize as the Evo cases provided for stock bores to 3.5". But to graft an XR top end to the Evo cases the 1/2" offset of cam centerline to rocker arms needed to be corrected. These rocker boxes along with custom made 1/2" longer rocker arms and custom rocker arm shafts would correct this misalignment”
