Other printers are readily supported by defining a Printer Driver using the built in Printer Driver Generator. The features mentioned below are available to both the built in Printer Drivers and user defined drivers (assuming the printer supports the features). NLQ control, Underline, Bold, Proportional Spacing, Microspacing, Italic, Superscript, Subscript, Condensed, Enlarged, Double Strike. Set lines per inch numerically (eg. LPI 6), Set characters per inch numerically (eg. CPI 5). Select printer font, Select printer ribbon colour, Translation sequences, Emulation of BBC Character Set. Simple numeric expressions for certain operations, Full printer setup, Send control codes, Print prompt on screen, Redefinable Pad character, Pause for key press, Prompt to change daisywheel, and Execute • command when printing.
Other features include a very powerful on screen preview, with bold, italic, underline, super/subscript, enlarged highlights, and a special printer driver to allow memory based text to be previewed by View 1.4. Of course, View 1.4, 2.1 and 3.0 are all supported, as is Shadow RAM and 6502 Second Processors. The BBC B series and Master series of micros are supported. All in all, a very professional product for the discerning user who wants power at their finger tips."
