This radio dates from- I have been told-1933. It originally had a “resistance” line cord: many years ago I had a radio repairman replace the decayed cord. I don’t remember what he used- a variable resistor maybe- but the radio then worked great. Even so, I only played it a few times: last time 20 years ago. I decided not to test it out Now in case something else needs replacing. Plus, there’s nothing worth listening to on AM nowadays anyway.

So, just to make the point clear, I can’t guarantee that it works now. It Might. There is a small chip less than 1/4 inch long to a ridge on the bottom of the radio (see pic) otherwise case is intact, Except the maker plate in back is missing. The loudspeaker is built-in: I think the connector in back was for a battery connection; for homes without electricity. Measurements roughly 6.5 inches high by 9 wide by 4.5 deep. On the back is the address label of that radio repairman (now long gone) and some spots of tape residue from where my brother-in-law duct-taped a protective cover on back (not sure why…he has some quirks). The antenna wire is frayed in spots. I suppose the top can use some buffing and waxing, if that works: I haven't tried it.

Shipping. I have a cardboard box that is 12x15 by 12 inches high; which I think should provide sufficient space for wadded up paper to insulate against shocks. Estimated boxed weight of 9 pounds. I usually ship USPS; I can ship UPS if you prefer. I Don’t recommend Fed-Ex. Or, you’re welcome to pick up and I’ll refund the shipping fee. I’m willing to drive no-charge up to 50 miles part-way, depending on direction. I live near Ithaca NY, which town incidentally made the front page of today’s New York Times. Anyway, you can email if you have any questions. I check messages at ends of day. Thanks for looking.
