This is a small Navajo (Diné) rug, or sampler, made of wool and woven into a fancy asymmetrical eye dazzler design in 5 colors: black, tan, natural cream and burgundy wool. The design feels more modern and abstracted because it doesn't have a centerline, like a symmetrical design. The yarn is very fine and it is tightly woven. It measures approx 7" H x 5.75" W. It would look fantastic displayed underneath a collection of southwest miniatures like pottery or fetishes!
