This miniature pot was made in Mata Ortiz, Mexico of native buff colored clay. The top was painted with a lighter color and the whole piece was polished to a smooth surface. The weblike linear pattern would have been painted on last. This was fired outside using traditional methods. This is unsigned. It measures approx 1- 3/8" H x 1- 3/4" W x 1- 3/4" D.  I really like the design on this, it is unusual! Cute addition to any collection of southwest pottery or miniatures!
