2024 marks 80 years since the historic event that turned the tide of the Second World War, forever remembered as D-Day.

Around 156,000 Allied troops landed in Normandy on the first day of the liberation and their bravery has been honoured with a

2024 UK 50p, struck by The Royal Mint.

Commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Designed by renowned sculptor David Lawrence to show Allied soldiers disembarking from their landing craft.

Crafted with assistance from the Imperial War Museums.

Struck to a superior Brilliant Uncirculated quality and protectively encapsulated to preserve this poignant moment in British history for generations to come.

In 1994, the UK's first D-Day 50p was issued in the larger specification, which can no longer be found in your change. This coin was previously voted the favourite 50p amongst Change Checkers, so we expect very high demand for the 2024 UK 50p commemorating D-Day.
