Hi there,
I'm selling a rare vintage Soviet Rusian Naval officer jacket.
It has a slight confusion, though.
The jacket is quite definitely naval, going by the buttons and the gold anchor on the lapels.
But the shoulder boards are a parade set from a Soviet Air Force Major, i think?
The colours don't match the navy.
And so i'm not sure, therefore, that all the badges are original.
I mean, they're original, but not perhaps to the jacket.
I can see some have been removed.
Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions.
I have a dream that this is an atomic submarine captains jacket from the Cold War...
I think i've got the 2nd Rank Captain bit correct, going by the stripes on his arms?
But there are two jubilee medals missing from the set of five ribbons, so i can't really be sure.
There is a very interesting atomic submarine badge, possibly for 20 years of service? With a Moscow name on the back of the badge.
And also a rather battered submarine commander badge, the red star has been chipped.
I'm not sure why he has a Nakhimov order that is actually a commemorative badge.
The label inside the jacket breast pocket locates this to a maker in Moscow.
I'm sure this is a vintage jacket, but quite what its story is, i couldn't say...?
It is a large size, measuring flat across the chest is 22-23". It's 31" long/tall.
This is a very cool vintage Soviet jacket. Despite the eclectic collection of badges and insignia, i'm sure it must be desired by some collector...
I will pack it very carefully for travel.
Thanks for looking, and i'm always open to reasonable offers.
