NOTE: This machine is NOT a DVD recorder.... However, This player IS capable of playing DVD discs and VHS tapes with NTSC region code 4; i.e USA & Canada; and supports various playable media formats. Additionally, it features VCR capabilities which enables users to also playback VHS tapes.

• Components in this listing enables you to playback and digitally transfer VHS tapes. Of course you can play your oldies on this unit as well.

• Up-convert RCA enabled VHS tape players to HDMI to playback on modern HD TVs

• USB capture device converts VHS tapes to digital video files on your PC or MAC.

• Convert VHS to DVD at home instead of shipping them off..

• Play your old VHS tapes on a modern HDTV Television using "composite to HDMI converter", AND OR you can digitize tapes using the provided "USB Capture Card/Device. AND OR Convert VHS to DVD via your computer's DVD burner once digitized if applicable.

• Once the Video files are captured from the VHS tape they can be burned to DVD after digitizing.

FAQ

Does this work with 8mm or miniDV tapes? (No). Usage is for VHS and VHS-C tapes only.

Does this include a DVD burner? (No). However, you can use your computer's DVD burner to burn the video file to DVD once digitized.

• NOTE: if your PC or MAC is not equipped with an optical CD-ROM port, or if the software on the CD isn't working with your computer or video device, you'll need to download capture software like OBS Studio, which is available for free online. Follow the user manual to install and set up the OBS software.

Keep in mind that: "The VHS to USB AV Converter Adapter Capture Card" is used separately and independently from the "RCA AV to HDMI Converter" to attain different achievements.

The USB Capture Card transfers VHS tapes into digital files on your computer, however;

The AV to HDMI Adapter allows you to connect old players to modern TVs by up-converting RCA enabled VHS tape players to HDMI to playback on modern HD TVs that do not come equipped with RCA i.e. (Yellow+Red+White AV input).  The AV to HDMI Adapter converter needs to be powered by a DC 5V adapter during use. Please connect the usb power cable with 5V adapter before using. (Usually a phone adapter can do that job).
