Auburn Pottery was a short-lived pottery in Cincinnati Ohio in the 1930s.  Information about the pottery is not plentiful.  The examples I was able to find were usually an "oil jar" shape such as this one, available in various sizes.

This vase is about 3 inches tall and 2-1/2 inches wide at its widest point.  Both the top and bottom rims are about 1-1/2 inches in diameter.  It has a brown semi-matte glaze.

The unglazed bottom shows the fired very white clay used by Auburn and has the incised writing "G 656D Bot Med" that I was told was test glaze markings, probably identifying the color of the glaze and possibly info regarding the kiln firing requirements.

This has been in my own collection for a long time and time to move it on to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have.

Ships USPS.
