A very fine collection of Nivada Antarctic watches.

It consists of the first models in stainless steel + gold-plated.

These are the same style/models issued to the US Navy as part of Operation Deep Freeze, led by Admiral Byrd as part of the International Geophysical Year.

You also get the Antarctic II which is quite rare in this condition.

These watches date from approximately 1957-60.

Included is the original box and warranty card, which are also hard to find.

I will include a leather roll case and a copy of the recently released book on Nivada Antarctic watches as well.

They are all running strong, keeping time and have done so the entirety of my years of ownership.

As with all vintage watches, no guarantees as to future performance can be given due to their age.

They were originally “waterproof” but should not be considered so today.

They have gently used leather bands and have great “wrist appeal”.

These watches were meant to compete with the early Rolex Explorers and the ultra rare Jaeger LeCoultre Geophysic.

I’m happy to entertain any questions.

If you want a serious high quality/ready to wear collection of the Nivada Antarctic series, which would likely take you many months to source, this is for you. You won’t be disappointed!
