Jie Gantofta Helsingborg Sweden started making small wooden figurines in 1942.  In the 1960's, they added molded earthenware that were hand-painted, usually with muted color glazes.  This Kissing Couple figurine is probably circa 1970.

The figurine is about 6-3/4 inches tall, 4 inches wide, and 2-1/2 inches front-to-back.  Holding hands with the blonde boy kissing her on the cheek, the blonde girl is holding a rose with a rose in her hair.  The detail on their clothing is very distinct with the dark clay color showing through.

The bottom has impressed marks but other than Sweden it is difficult to read.  It is in good vintage condition.  A tiny factory glazed-over chip on the top of the boy's hat and a tiny glaze pop chip on the top of his trousers as shown in the photos are its only issues.  It still makes a cute display piece.
