Good condition. Vintage Optical Bench Microscope for Projection & Photography from the year 1917. Made by Carl Zeiss. Two long rods parallel and horizontal are set 5" apart to form the bench. On these are cross members of brass with grooves to fit rods and tightening thumb screws. There are 7 of these, each with an adjustable sliding clamp (for collimation) and a socket into which can be inserted various optical elements. The optical components are (in order): a condensing lens, (nearest to the light source), a second condenser with large round shield, a polarizer, large round plate with clips to hold specimen on a slide, an objective lens with a small shield, a second polarizer, and an eyepiece with tube and shield.
