This is a copy of Nancy Drew #11 The Clue of the Broken Locket. Copyright 1934. If you're looking for a book with some character, this is the book for you. I've seen my share of Book Club and Library Editions, but this one is different. I've only seen one other with black and cream imaging on the cover and spine. There are endpapers, but only at the front of the book, not in the back, and they're DIGGER ENDPAPERS. This is a discarded library book, complete with a sign out envelope in the front. There are dates written on the left side of the Table of Contents, and the word "DISCARD" is written in black ink over the name of the library on the title page. The DIGGER ENDPAPERS are located after the page at the front with the sign out card. The page with the sign out card on one side and the DIGGER ENDPAPERS on the other is loose from the top to about halfway down. The actual endpapers say "BOUND HUNTTING" and have squares with a child sitting on a stool reading. I've looked around and haven't found any other editions with similar covers to this. The book has quite a bit of discoloration, thick clear tape on the hinges and on the bottom of the spine where it says the reading level underneath "CLASSROOM BOOK." In spite of its obvious wear, this book is solid and not falling apart.
