Welcome to my auction for this 12 seater Ford Transit
MWB minibus. This has been owned by a local family firm for the last 10
years to take workers to site and back. It is only being sold as we have
upgraded to a newer Transit. It was first
registered on the 26th of January 2011 and is one of the later 60
registrations. It only had one previous keeper and that was local to us
also. It has covered a low and genuine 97,000 miles which is absolutely
nothing for one of these as you regularly see
them with 200k plus miles. It has a long MOT until March 2025 and it
went through tge test with ease and it generally has done through the
years with not needing much at all. There is some service history but
nothing substantial as we havr looked after it
ourselves. It has been serviced (oil and filter change) every 6,000
miles without fail and it shows by how well it runs and drives. It is a
T300 with the 115bhp engine fitted and it has a 6 speed manual gearbox.
It has a speed limiter fitted (62 mph) so its
never had a hard life and this could be removed if you wanted. It has a
decent specification with remote locking, CD player, electric windows
etc. It also comes with 2 keys one of which is a remote locking fob and
works fully. It will be on sale with no reserve.
I am happy to collect any prospective buyers from my local mainline
train station. Please also be aware that I require a £150 deposit upongl
completion of thr auciton. There is also No Vat to be added. Any test
drives and viewings are more than welcomed but
preferably not on the final day of the sale.
The exterior is generally in good condition. Please bear
in mind that it is a Transit van that has been used for 13 years and as
such does have an odd mark here and there. These are basically a ding
here and there, an odd rust bleb touched in
and an odd mark associated with age. I have photographed the marks and
included them in the images in detail so please be sure to take a look
through them all. The paintwork has a very good shine to it and the
sides are straight other than the dings mentioned
and photographed. The very rear passenger side door on the back has
been changed and is a slight different shade of white. The whole
underside is nice and solid and the MOT guy commented that it was good
underneath. It has never had a tow bar fitted which
I see as a positive as its not been working hard. All in all its nice
and solid with a few of the usual marks expected for a vehicle of this
type and age.
The interior is in decent condition but is by no means
immaculate. There are 12 seats including the driver. The seats are
arrnaged in 4 blocks of 3 seats making the total of 12 seats. The seats
have some odd marks here and there but nothing
major just from use over the years and again I have photographed the
major marks in the images so please be sure to take a look. It has twin
side loading doors so the rear seating area can be accessed from either
side. There are a couple of marks on the roof
lining and other odd minor marks as expected. The electric windows work
as they ought to also. The seats are isofox and all the seatbelts work
as they ought to. The very rear bench seat ( 3 seats) is not fastened
down as we used the very rear for loading space
for tools etc but could easily be put back in if needed. All in all a
few marks here and there but it is what is is I suppose. Again, please
look through the images.
Mechanically the minibus is absolutely fantastic. It
starts well from warm or cold and runs superbly well. The engine revs
freely with no hesitation and no smoke at all and it is free from any
faults. There is plenty of power from the engine
and it accelerates very well indeed right through the entire rev range.
The 6 speed manual gearbox is excellent and all the gears change smooth
and precise up and down ths range with absolutely no issues at all. The
clutch is excellent, has a good bite point
and is nice and smooth in its operation. The brakes are excellent and
bring it to a stop in a good safe distance. There are no warning lights
on the dash and the water temperature sits perfectly in the middle of
the gauge with the heater working well on all
speeds and getting nice and warm. This is very reliable and really does
drive very well indeed and it has been a great servant for us over the
years.
All in all a great driving low mileage example of a good size minibus with a long MOT and has loads of life left in it.
