They depict classic designs from this iconic pottery which produced work under the Ottoman Turkish Empire and is named after the city Iznik

The British Museum has an extensive collection found in the Islamic galleries
They are decorative pieces that can be used as wall hangings or on a dresser shelf

Each is numbered separately and is only one of 4,950 produced by Compton and Woodhouse

Each plate measures approx. 26.5cm diameter
