1961 Leica 35mm f/1.4 Summilux "Steel Rim" (Sn. 1778687)
Overall Condition: 9.5/10
  • Glass is truly mint - no scratches, no cleaning marks, no fungus, no haze, no excuses. This is as good as it gets.
  • Lens coatings are in excellent condition.
  • Aperture blades are nice and clean.
  • Aperture throw is nice and smooth with half click stops.
  • Focus throw is nice and smooth.
  • Lens body is excellent, showing very few signs of use, and only a couple (very minor) small cosmetic scuffs. The original sheen of the chrome is largely intact.

This goggled version, made for the M3, is compatible with all Leica M cameras.

The benefit of this M3 version is the ability to focus down to 0.65m (instead of only 1m on the M2 version)
