This is a phenomenal antique print that is well over 130 years old. It depicts a gorgeous black and white Landseer colored Newfoundland Dog.

The print has wonderful tones and hues. It is a chromolith from a high quality children's book, circa 1870s (the inscription was from 1878, so it is at least that old). It is on heavy paper with a blank back. The acompanying text is included on a separate page.

The page is in good condition, with clean colors. It does have smudges/marks in the margin that do not effect the image (see scan).

The page measures approx. 9x10.75 inches and the actual image size (without margins) is approx. 7.25 x 8.25 inches.

This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE item from the 1870s.  It would look wonderful framed.
