This is gorgeous print from the mid-1880s. It is of EXTREMELY high quality with lots of smooth details. You can see the plate imprint. Probably the high-end intaglio printing process. The artist is George D. Leslie.
It depicts a beautiful girl proudly hugging her Border Terrier (or possibly Norfolk Terrier) puppy. Let me know if you think I got the breed ID wrong.
Below the picture is a caption that reads: " Young Mother Hubbard "

The back of the print is blank. The paper is thick and lucious.
The page measures approx. 16.5 x 11 inches. The picture area is smaller than this, as can be seen in the photos.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
The page has a few old fingerpirnt smudges in the bottom left portion of the white margin area. It does not reach the picture area and could be trimmed. See scan.
