Art deco style vintage blue glass bead necklace with Czech style pierced metal beads.
This art deco vintage blue glass bead necklace is really enlivened by the ornate gold tone metal beads. The rich glossy blue colour absolutely sings out as the light hits it; a simple necklace but stunning. The style suggests this piece was made in Europe and probably Czechoslovakia in the first half of the 20thC. The matt finish of the metal beads contrasts wonderfully with the bright blue beads, creating a quite magical quality. This necklace is in very good condition, with all off the blue beads intact and just minor wear to the metal beads and spacers. Please look at picture 4 - you can see that there is a slight gap between two of the beads. Also, the necklace is slightly asymmetrical, with one side have one extra bead - both ends appear to be the originals, so this must have been how the necklace was made!
