Rare 'Lampe Mocel' Motion Table Lamp for restoration.

Made in France. 

The lamp, which I believe possibly dates from the 1930 - 1950's is a stunning centre piece for any home.

It measures approx. 18 inches wide and stands approx. 9 1/2 inches tall.

Hand painted scene of cliffs and trees with a sea landscape.

When switched on, the heat from the lamps make the painted cellophane cylinders gently turn to give the impression that the waves from the sea are slowly rolling onto the shore.

Selling as a restoration project as it does need work.  In 'as found' condition. New cable had been fitted and new lamps/bulbs. The push button switch is not connected.  The lamp lights up as shown in the photos showing the blue sea, but the cylinders do not turn. They move freely when turned by hand, but not from the heat of the lamp as they should do. As shown in the photos it has been partially taken apart and there are a selection of screws and spacers included as shown.

The pale yellow/cream paint is worn on the case, but I think its all part of its charm.

It just needs a little TLC
