This rare, vintage, heavy stoneware decorative plate was manufactured by the Waechtersbach company in Germany, and has the "beehive" company mark impressed on the back. This striking example of art deco workmanship has a 12 1/4" diameter and is approximately 2" high. The sculpture is clean and strong, and the back of the plate has a few very faint age-related black lines. This piece is in excellent vintage condition, and is quite heavy, weighing 3 pounds, 15.2 ounces.
