This is an antique French Provincial vanity desk.

The wood is in great condition as are the dovetailed drawers with brass hardware.

All original hardware.

Flip top beveled mirror with compartment and storage under it. The desk is flanked by wood carvings on both sides painted gold just like the accents of the desk.

Very sturdy and heavy, feels of high quality materials.Bowed slender legs and the original brass hardware. The middle of the top flips up to reveal a beveled mirror and interior compartment for storage of makeup and dressing table items and more.

Have had this desk for more than 20 years and has been very well taken care off, being covered and stored away.

The wood inside the drawers and the wood of the compartments of the drawers is very well taken care of.

At some point in the desks history wood was added to the points of contact for each drawer to reinforce them and keep them steady when sliding in and out. I'd you want pictures of that let me know and I'll send them.

Would look great with a sanding and paint job.
