This lot includes the following comedies:

  • COPS (1920) (SUPER 8 SOUND) - A comedy gem from Buster Keaton, piling gags upon gags and several plot threads, ending in a spectacular chase. This print has the benefit of a great organ score by the talented Gaylord Carter. A great way to introduce silent comedy to new viewers!
  • SPOOK SPOOFING (1928) (SUPER 8 SILENT) - An extra-length Our Gang comedy (on two 400-foot reels). Shenanigans abound as the gang pranks poor Farina in a graveyard. But every dog has his day, and Farina turns the tables on his tormentors!
  • NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE (1936) (STD 8MM SOUND) - Charley Chase's final short for Hal Roach. Through typical embarrassing circumstances, Charley and his family win the Bank Night prize at the local theater, then have to make things right when the audience cries "foul"! A rare Standard 8mm SOUND print from Blackhawk.
  • BIG MOMENTS FROM LITTLE PICTURES (1924) (SUPER 8 SILENT) - The Poet Lariat, Will Rogers, pokes fun at Hollywood's big stars (Doug Fairbanks, Valentino, Ford Sterling) and pictures, ending in a rollicking Keystone Kops spoof that's as good as Sennett. Why sit through the entire movie, when you can condense it to highlights?
  • DANGEROUS FEMALES (1929) (SUPER 8 SILENT) - An Al Christie comedy with the great team of Marie Dressler and Polly Moran. This was a talkie, but dialogue intertitles help you follow the plot. So much of the humor is in the pantomime of the great Dressler and Moran, that this works just as well as a silent!
