Knowing how it works and what an Oxygen actually does...An oxygen sensor, also known as an O2 sensor, it measures the amount of oxygen in your exhaust and relays this information to your PCM. The PCM uses this information to adjust air-fuel ratios to keep your motor running smoothly & efficiently. When these sensors malfunction, they can throw a check engine light, preventing you from passing your state inspection.
