The secret box is opened by sliding the sides of the box.
The direction and order in which the sides of the box are slid are determined, and the box will not open unless they are slid in that order.
The pattern is an unusual black linen pattern.
It is the same pattern as the “hemp leaf” depicted on the peach-colored kimono worn by nezuko in the Japanese manga “kimetsu no yaiba".
Hemp leaves are believed to ward off evil, and the checkered pattern is believed to be a pattern of development and prosperity.
