Russian 1926 Very Rare Large Book Soviet Revolution
DESCRIPTION:
This is a very Rare Large Vintage book with 32 litho print illustrations. Dated 1926. In Russian language. Pages 72. Size is 20 3/4" wide x 14" tall. 32 powerful full-color artist-signed Illustrations on separate sheets. Various Russian artists.
Complete. Each illustration is gently attached to the heavy gray-color paper stock at the top of the print. I.e. each illustration can be gently lifted up and (God forbid) removed from the book with no damage. A description of the scene and the name of the artist appear below each illustration. A previous owner kindly translated the descriptions on the first 6 pages to English. The first one reads,"On the eve of the Revolution of 1905."
The condition is very good. The stiff heavy stock cover is old and worn but shows well. There is a triangular piece missing from the bottom right corner cover. (Please see photo). The binding, although a bit ragged in several spots is tight. No loose or missing pages. The book is also string bound. The interior pages and the illustrations are in fine condition. The edges of the grey pages upon which the illustrations are mounted are lightly toned at the edges. The illustrations are pristine. No missing pages or illustrations. Very rare book! Weight 3.93 lbs.
