1851 Sketches in the Pacific the South Sea Island, Drawn from Nature and on Stone by Conway Shipley

Condition is poor due to lacking plates. Only the lithograph title and 1 plate are present of the expected 25. Every page in the book is shown, except the 4 (8 pages) before the last page (due to photo limitations). Appears to be rebacked with new endpapers. Otherwise this would be a very high valuation book (see sold copies on Christie’s etc), with very few copies coming available at auction. A good chance to get a very rare book at a reasonable price, albeit in poor condition due to the lacking plates. Size about 13.25x17.25".
