Scarce Vintage 1950s Hy Hinterneister Jigsaw Puzzle Boy & Dog MINT COMPLETE (#552)
Charming art by famous illustrator Hy Hintermeister (signed on lower right corner of puzzle) of a cute boy fishing while his St. Bernard dog holds the boat's rope. Measures 14 3/8 inches x 10 1/4 inches. Rigid 1/4" thick cardboard. Four (4) figural pieces - Rooster, Whale, Elephant and Owl. Mint, unused, complete condition.
Unlike most cardboard puzzles from this era that are boxed with several hundred pieces, this unusual version has roughly 30 pieces and is geared for toddlers over 2 years old. The puzzle itself has wavy edges and is lifted from its heavy cardboard frame for playing.
