Up for sale is an extremely fine and very rare vintage Zodiac Datographic 18k solid gold watch with original guarantee certificate. This Datographic watch dates to the early 50's and in excellent good condition.
The very first automatic with all RED color dates model. Original gold color dial is in good shape. It features a 60 second incised gold dot outer track border, raised gold hour markers with luminous dots, original gold hands, a RED calendar window at the 3 position. Signed ZODIAC Datographic below the raised Zodiac symbol and SWISS at 6 position.Quadruple-signed for Zodiac, its solid 18k yellow gold case measures 42.5mm lug tip to lug tip and 34mm in width (36.3mm with original Zodiac gold crown). Original Zodiac 17 jewel, automatic mechanism (AS Caliber 1361N) signed Zodiac Ltd., 1361C - Seventeen 17 Jewels, Swiss, KXF. Movement has not been serviced recently, although it is running well and keeping good time. We can't guarantee accuracy of vintage watch as they may need cleaning or servicing. Serial number 510683 is visible on the lugs and original paper. Screw down design case back signed Water & Shock Resistant, Automatic, Antimagnetic, Swiss and Zodiac with balance symbol logo. It’s in great shape, as shown. The inside of the case back is nicely engine turned and stamped ZODIAC LTD., LE LOCLE SWISS– 18K 0.750 Ref.7102.
