This is an unsmoked Willmer Straight Grain (AAA) smooth bent Dublin tobacco pipe. The vertical notches surrounding the heel of this beauty play a tasty part in showing off its luscious straight grain. In fact, it was awarded the AAA grade, which was Willmer's highest grade in the 1970's, when this pipe was carved. This pipe rests on a half inch of solid briar, which, with those super thick Dublin walls, means your sessions will be cool ones. Willmer never gained the popularity of some of his rivals as his pipes were mainly sold locally to London tobacconists and custom stamped with various names. Happy to say, however, his incredible pipes have since become sought after by Wilmer enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. If your collection does not include a Willmer, this is a great opportunity to own an especially nice, unsmoked one.
